Dear Summer

I wish you would stop teasing us in the middle of Fall. In the middle of November it is supposed to be cool, with coats and scarves and boots. Instead short sleeves and shorts continue to make an appearance. You appear out of the blue one day at a time randomly giving us bright sunshine, warm weather and the infamous humidity that follows. Then you will disappear again giving us the taste of what we think is winter before making another unannounced appearance. I wish you would just come back to us indefinitely giving us the warm sunshine and the beach weather that we love about you. But instead we will have to make due with the cold of winter and rain that is November and December, and cherish the few moments when you decide to appear until you come back to us in mid-June.
