Ah the beauty of Old San Juan. Visiting Old San Juan was one of my favourite parts of Puerto Rico, the town is so beautiful and the architecture of the buildings is incredible. Each building is a different style and colour but yet similar in some way. It reminds me of buildings back home in Bermuda and even some places I saw in Mexico. It’s amazing how countries can have similar traits but still be so different by adding unique details and flare.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to spend the whole day in this little town because it started to rain and cut our adventure short, but not before getting to visiting Castillo de San Cristobal. I am not much of a history buff (in fact it was my least favourite subject in middle school and I dropped it the first chance I got), but I definitely still appreciate the past. The view from the fort was incredible, you see all of Old San Juan right to the mountains in the distance. Climbing the forts in Bermuda was always fun to me and this time was no different. I climbed up the ledges to get better pictures and view of the town.

All in all, I loved this little town. Next time I come back to Puerto Rico I will definitely be coming back to finish exploring.
