Red in Winter

So I guess I can’t avoid it anymore, it is officially winter time in Bermuda. Though we still get some summery days (we are an island after all), the temperature has cooled down and it rains most days of the week. And just when I’m getting used to the idea of our winter, I had to prepare for a real winter last weekend! That’s right, after an almost full year hiatus (something I can guarantee you I will never do again!), #TamarasTravels is back! My first stop of the year was none other than my favourite city and playground across the water, good old NYC. 🙂 I was really trying to get this post up before the trip but everything came so fast and we were so busy, it was all such a whirlwind!

Even though I was not too thrilled about the weather – did you see Jonas! Crazy! – it actually turned out to be pretty mild. I was excited to be going back to New York for the first time in almost two years. Wow, and to think, a few years ago I was going there every few months.

This trip was also really exciting because it was my first official work trip. I’ve been with the City of Hamilton (officially) for three years now and have yet to go anywhere. So to be able to go to my favourite City for my favourite event (BFF of course), let’s just say this feeling is long overdue. I can’t give away any details yet but let’s just say that the Bermuda Fashion Festival is doing it BIG this year and I’m sooooooo happy to say that after four years of trials and tribulations we are finally able to collaborate with my blog and the event!
