Oh 2020, what a year. 2020 was an interesting year to say the least and of course, it means that the holidays were to follow suit. As Bermuda saw an uptick in Covid-19 cases in early December it forced the island to go back to phased restrictions (e.g. curfew and limited number gatherings). This of course made for an extremely low-key Christmas celebration. While we were unable to have our annual big Christmas celebrations with extended family members and enjoy all of the festive holiday parties, we made the most of it. I got to spend time with my closest family members, the most important being my Nana. Over the last year, I haven’t been able to see and visit her as much as I would like due to the threat of the virus but I made every effort to make it possible and safe to see her for the holidays and it was all worth it. I feel blessed to still have her here with us and try to take advantage of every moment I get with her.
Since the holidays were so limited, I decided that my outfit had to be extra festive to make up for it. I decided to pair this one half of a co-ord set with some basics (because a full sequin outfit would have been a bit too much) and accessorized with my go-to Bermuda designer accessories. The minute Gold, The Label dropped her Ita Bucket Bag and I saw this crimson color, I knew I wanted to first debut it on Christmas Day. At the time I had no idea what I was going to wear, but I knew that bag was it! Add some staple sunnies and everyday jewellery and I was ready for a multi-course turkey dinner with the family.
I hope you were able to make the most of the holidays despite all the obstacles the year brought.
Ps. Do you like my garland Christmas tree? 🙂 It was Pinterest-inspired!
