On the first day of the Vegas part of my summer vacation, we decided to go see one of the biggest natural wonders of the world. My family had taken a trip to the Canyon a month before, but because of my event schedule I couldn’t get the time off until after my show. So when the opportunity came to go to Vegas with my best friend and her family, and that the Canyon would be one of the things we do, I was super excited. Las Vegas and Arizona is another world when it comes to how hot it is! I’m used to the heat living in Bermuda, but dry heat, that’s a whole different ball game! So many times I was changing outfits through the day and sweating like never before, but it was all worth it.
The Grand Canyon is so amazing and beautiful. I was stunned by the beauty of the formations and the colour of the rocks and rivers. We took a bus from Vegas to an air strip out in the desert and from there we took a helicopter ride to Arizona, the Hoover Dam, the Canyon and the Colorado River. During the tour they took us down in the canyon where we had lunch and took photos. Because of the heat most of my outfits on this part of the trip were simple and minimal. This was a once in a lifetime experience. Now that I’ve rambled enough, you can quietly enjoy the beauty that is the Grand Canyon.
