On day four of our Mexican Cancun adventure we decided to depart from the area and venture to Isla Mujeres. One of the things Shaylee really wanted to do was swim with the dolphins. We checked out a few different programs that were in the area but ended up choosing Dolphin Discovery, mainly because is was located on the beautiful island of Isla Mujeres. This gave us a chance to not only swim with the dolphins but also to explore another part of Mexico. It ended up being such a great idea because after swimming with the dolphins in the morning and grabbing lunch we took a taxi downtown to the main part of the island. Our driver decided to take the scenic route into town, it was so beautiful. There were times where parts of the island looked familiar and reminded me of Bermuda, the island is so small that those living there are like a community, much of how Bermuda is. Though it decided to pour torrential rain in the afternoon it didn’t stop us from shopping around and we found a cute little restaurant that we took shelter in a got a quick (monster sized tiramisu and drinks) snack before it was time to head back to the main land.
Ps. One more Mexico post left, hopefully I get the chance to post it this week!
