Searching Perfection

Everybody is searching for that perfect-something. Perfect guy, perfect dress, perfect shoes, perfect shade, everyday handbag, job, house, car. I think you get my drift. Me, I can say I’m constantly trying to find the perfect balance in my life. Dividing my time between work, blogging, love, friends, other work, fun time, me time. It’s easy to get lost in one thing and let the rest fall to the background. However I must admit, lately I feel like I’ve been getting better. I started to think about me, and what I wanted, prioritizing and focusing, and it’s helped. It hasn’t been easy and it is still a huge working process, but by setting short-term goals (and sticking to them) I’ve found myself. I’m working to change the things I can change, and adjusting to things I can’t. But bottom line, there will never be perfection, just balance, and I’m happy with that.

This outfit is something I wore back in the midst of running around finding decor for the City Fashion Festival. I’m in love with this blouse from H&M, it’s something I found last year and I think they’ve introduced as one of their office basics. It’s so simple and easy to style and perfect for a no-thought outfit. When I found them again earlier this year I went crazy and bought almost every colour! This day I decided to pair it with one of my new/first ever knee length skirt. I’ve always been afraid to try this style because I’m short but most low-waist pencil skirts are too short for me to wear to work (yes even on me). So, I decided to give it a try and I love the look. It reminds me of the style from the 50s and 60s swing era. In conclusion, I’m basically searching for these in different colours and prints now. 🙂
