Back in September I did a fun collaboration with the lovely Lauren from Can’t Stay Put travel blog. Lauren is an avid traveller that has been traveling since the age of 5 and has the same love for travel as I do, so much so that she quit her world to pursue her blog and traveling full time. Lauren is American and has been to Bermuda many times before as she has friends that live here, but this trip was her first time here since starting her blog. Before arriving on island she reached out to me to work on a collaboration, seeing that she had the same drive for adventure as I did, I agreed and we met up once she was on island.
We talked about a few different collaboration ideas and I knew just the type of adventure she would like. She’s been to Bermuda so many times, but she hadn’t had the chance to explore Bermuda yet. So I came up with the idea to mimic a concept I had done just last year with my good friend Lamont; an adventure day exploring the hidden treasures of Bermuda. First we went caving swimming at Tom Moores’ Jungle, then jumping the cliffs at Admiralty House and lastly down the 100 steps to a hidden South Shore beach before finishing the day with a round of speed mini-golf and cocktails at Fun Golf in Snorkel Park, Dockyard.
It was definitely a fun day, and the weather turned out perfect. Lauren was so amazing and was up for trying anything, and I’ll give it to her, she is a lot braver than me. Just last year I was jumping off cliffs and bridges no problem, but this day, I couldn’t do it! In a year I had somehow developed a fear of falling, I still have no idea how. I told Lauren that next time she comes back we will have to work on concurring my fear because skydiving is on my bucket list and I’m not gonna let a little cliff stop me! Check out my video of our day below and you can check out her post and video of the day on her blog.
